Recently, we celebrated another milestone with the expansion of the PM-International Headquarters Americas in the United States. At the ribbon cutting ceremony, our Founder & CEO Rolf Sorg was excited to present the new service centre and the second warehouse.
Our HQ Americas is responsible for the administration and supply chain management in the US, Canada, Chile and Mexico, as well as supporting our further expansion into Central and South America. We invested around $1 million, building a second administration building and ‘Warehouse 2’ and increasing the entire complex from originally 10,000 to now more than 20,000 sq feet. Or to put in the words of Rolf Sorg: “As turnover almost doubled in the US last year and seeing the growing demand for our products in the Americas, this is the next big step!” And we couldn’t agree more! No matter where in the world, every PM-International location lets you experience our premium approach. For our HQ Americas, this means having a close and personal contact, as well as service, for our local Team Partners and customers. And… by the way… it operates with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification, ensuring maximum product safety. The great thing is, you can experience all of this yourself! 2020, with all its challenges and developments, showed us that our strategies and the ability to quickly adapt is working in our favour, since this led us to the biggest revenue growth in our company’s history. This highlights the fact that the FitLine brand is loved and appreciated all over the world and that there is a demand for our products…. but also, for people to become financially independent sales partners.
To support this development, we have big plans to strengthen our presence in the Americas. In summer, PM-International’s North Branch offices in Pittsburgh, PL will move into new facilities, and we plan to open another office for the West region within the next 12 months, as sales numbers are increasing steadily. In addition, there are fully operative subsidiaries in Canada, Chile and Mexico.
“There is a huge market and expansion potential in the Americas”, says Sammy El Ghoul, CSO of the Headquarters Americas. And he’s not wrong, the numbers back it up….. The South American market by itself has a population of more than 430 million people with a median age of 32 years, and more than 85% of them living in urban areas. That’s more than 200 million people in Brazil alone (based on the latest United Nations estimates). These numbers alone don’t provide us with the whole picture… Latest figures from the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations (WFDSA) show, that the market share of cosmetics, personal care, and wellness products make up for more than 75% of products sold by direct selling companies! “There is huge demand in products for personal well-being and health. This is a trend we have been monitoring for a long time, and now is the perfect time to act”, explains Sammy El Ghoul.
The first success stories from the Americas reached us soon after the Headquarters Americas opened their doors in 2019: Sabrina and Daniel Tepasse are a true power-couple. “The global expansion in the Americas is the perfect location to discover different cultures and meet new people. We love the possibility with the extra income. My husband and I always carry our small office, our demo bag with us, ready to share our experience with others. I don’t know how this journey is going to look like, but we see with our global expansion the possibilities are unlimited, and we are happy to be a part of it.”
